"Calling All the Basic Bitches!"

It's Saturday and I typically don't post anything on the weekends BUT! I came across a video. That I need to post about.


Background: I saw it on Retta's Twitter feed. If you're using Twitter and you're not following Retta (@UnfoRETTAble) , I really need you to get with the program. She's incredibly funny and her live tweeting of her favorite shows is sublime.

So she posted this video along with the words, "BTDubs, who hasn't seen THIS yet?" People post things like that all the time, baiting you to look at their dumb blog post or whatever. (Ahem.) But since it was Retta, I clicked on it.

Ok, now you click on it.

Now, I have no idea who to credit for this, no idea who the kid is, no idea where the kid is, but I have watched it probably 10 times. The outfit! The flourish when he brings his hand to his mouth! The dramatic stage whisper! The "you're basic"! I die. There's something about him that's simultaneously so "be yourself" endearing, but he also kinda makes me want to slap him for being such a precocious smart ass.

And while we're on the "basic bitches" theme, here's one of my guilty pleasure jams. Please to enjoy Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci"...
